Blake & Faith - Block 1 (2025-26): Final

  Welcome back to the final installment of the 2025 IHS Block 1 experience. Blake mentioned in our last blog post that we were getting ready to go to the Dubois Rodeo that night. It did not disappoint! We got to see toddlers, up to adults, riding cows, horses, and sheep! Our collective favorite event was the calf scramble, where the kids in the crowd lined up and two calves were set loose for them to wrangle.  Exploring the Tetons … Again The next day after the rodeo, we went hiking in the Tetons for a second time with a Tennessee student named Sammie. The specific hike we did was the Jenny lake loop, which was 7.5 miles total. Yes, you felt all of that 7.5 mile hike, it took like 4 hours but was totally worth it! We saw THREE bears and a moose on the trail! Two of the bears we saw were literally less than 10 yards away from us. It was terrifying yet awesome all at the same time. Blake & Faith - Block 1 (2025-26): Midpoint

Hey y'all! It's Blake! Faith and I have been out here in Wyoming for about 3 weeks now, and we are so happy and excited to share all the fun we've been having while we've been here! Traveling to Wyoming Instead of flying and getting a rental, Faith and I both made the long drive from Auburn to Fort Washakie. It's about a 26-hour drive all told. While that's certainly a long drive, it took us through multiple states (Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, and Nebraska, depending on which way you go) and was a beautifully scenic trip. Arriving in Wyoming We arrived in Wyoming late on the Friday before our first day. We spent the weekend getting settled, cleaning up, getting groceries, and making a little home for ourselves. We even got a Roku for the living room TV that we and future students can use! We are here May-June and are so happy and satisfied with the weather, it's such a great time to be out here!
