Block 7: Week 4
This week we started in Riverton!!
There are three clinics (Riverton, Ethete, and Arapahoe)
Our main clinic is Ethete, but this week Katherine is wanting us to go to the other clinics to present the information about the Rabies Vaccine. Everyone at all of the clinics are so friendly.
Monday, we presented the Rabies vaccine brochure, and then stayed at that clinic to experience it. The pharmacist in charge there was awesome. She showed us a lot of stuff on the computer, and all of the staff were so friendly. We then left around 3 and went to Walmart to get some stuff for dinner! After we ate dinner we watched the Bachelor, DUH!
Tuesday, we went to the Arapahoe Clinic to present the rabies brochure to Pod 1. Again, these people were so friendly, and then we headed back to the Ethete clinic to finish working on our pain patients. After rotation we went home and relaxed, and then decided to go to Cowfish for dinner. I got the ravioli, and it was so good. I think what I got the first time was better though, the Campanelle.
Wednesday, Morgan left to go home because she had a residency interview (go Morgan!), and I went back to the Ethete clinic to present the brochure at Pod 2. After the presentation I stayed at the clinic, and got to meet everyone there! I learned all about the Commission Corps from Amy, and then me and the Wyoming pharmacy student worked on putting up the bulletin board for February. We were supposed to go help with a naloxone training, but it got canceled so I went and got a Sub at 381 Subs and Salads in Riverton. I then went to the Twice but Nice thrift store, and then came home for the day!
Thursday, I was supposed to present the Rabies brochure at the Arapahoe clinic, but the clinic was closed in the morning. So I decided to go to my sisters for the weekend:)
She lives in Rapid City, SD (About 6 hours away). Mount Rushmore, and the Badlands are here! So many other fun things to do. They also have skiing at Terry peak which is pretty cheap ($65 for a full day pass)
It was fun to get to see her city and get to do fun things here. They also have a huge mall so I got to go shopping too :). Friday, we went to dinner at a place called Fuji Sushi, and then went to see the movie "Anyone But You" in theaters. Saturday, we slept in and then went to a brewery call Cohort Craft Brewery. And Sunday we went skiing!
Then Monday I headed back home for my last two days of rotation!!
